Foster Grandparent Update!
Posted: November 22, 2017

In 2016, the Foster Grandparent Program was cancelled after it was given up by its receiver, Catholic Community Services. The Foster Grandparent Program provides non-taxable stipends to seniors on a low, fixed income working with children, and PMCCP has used this program since the 1980s. As many of you may know, PMCCP loves and relies on our Foster Grandparent Program and in response to this we continued to raise money to support and maintain it.
We are proud to announce that the federal grant to coordinate the Foster Grandparent Program was awarded to Homage Senior Services (formerly Senior Services of Snohomish County). We hope that the program will be up and running again no later than January 2018. We are all so thankful that this valuable program is in good hands once again.
21st Annual Walk for Kids Success!
This year we raised $20,000 for our tuition assistance program through the Annual Walk For Kids!
We would like to thank all of the individuals and local businesses who helped us reach our goal. We had a wonderful march through the Market and a fabulous dance party with The Not-Its! in the Market Atrium. Without you, non of this would be possible. Keep a lookout for the next Walk for Kids in October 2018!

Posted October 10, 2016
Together we raised over $18,500 at the 20th Annual Walk for Kids on Sunday, October 2nd, surpassing our goal and providing much needed funds for our tuition assistance program.
We received donations from $1 to $5,000 from people across our community. It was an amazing outpouring of love for Pike Market Child Care and Preschool. Thank you for raising money, volunteering your time, walking with us and donating to our school. We are humbled by your generosity.
Please be sure to take a minute to visit one of these businesses that sponsored our walk and tell them thank you from PMCCP!
