Since 1982, Pike Market Child Care and Preschool has nourished children and families, providing children of all economic backgrounds with access to high quality early learning opportunities and family support. PMCCP fosters a passion for learning by ensuring families access to quality early education in a diverse urban environment. In addition, we are proud to be recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We are one of only 30 out of over 600 child care centers and family homes in Seattle to have earned this accreditation. 

On November 1, 2005 PMCCP launched the 1000 Friends for Families Campaign. The goal of the campaign is simple: to spread the word about PMCCP's mission, building a predictable funding base from our community. By our 25th anniversary in October of 2007, we'll have 1000 individuals supporting the children at the preschool in the Market.

In July we hired Ellen von Wandruszka as our new Executive Director. Her energy and enthusiasm for the preschool, as well as the hard work of our staff and Board of Directors, perfectly position PMCCP for success with the 1000 Friends for Families campaign. And as always, we wouldn't be here without our many generous supporters, giving their time, energy and love to create a better community.
